Adam Jaffe, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with older children, adolescents, and adults. He specializes in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, specific phobias, as well as other common challenges adolescents and young adults struggle with, including performance anxiety, school/work stress, and relationship difficulties. Adam relies primarily on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy as treatment modalities, along with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other mindfulness-based approaches.
Adam completed his Master of Social Work at the University of Georgia and his internship in CBT at Skyland Trail in Atlanta. He has also completed multi-day ERP trainings through The Knowledge Tree under the direction of Dr. Patrick McGrath, and he became licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2024.
He comes to the field with a background as a classical musician and piano teacher, and his career change was inspired partly by his experiences helping students to overcome performance anxiety. Adam is an Atlanta native who attended the Galloway School before studying piano performance at Carnegie Mellon University; he additionally was a Fulbright scholar at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, Netherlands, where he studied harpsichord and early music performance.
In addition to his passion for psychotherapy, Adam continues to pursue a wide variety of interests, including music, acting, filmmaking, and crosswords, and he speaks French and Dutch fluently. He can frequently be spotted hanging out with his one-year-old daughter.
