Licensed Providers

Lizzie Booher, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to treat anxiety spectrum disorders and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She has a focus on treating anxiety caused by forces outside the client’s control, such as public policy changes, environmental stressors, and international conflict. Additionally, she is interested in exploring the intersection of video game/social media consumption and anxiety with clients of all ages.

Lizzie has completed multi-day ERP trainings through The Knowledge Tree for the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and has been practicing with this treatment for the past two years. She integrates expressive arts and mind/body approaches with more structured therapies to encourage a dynamic space for all clients. Her approach to therapy is empathetic, curious, and strongly rooted in feminist and ecological understandings of all people. No one exists in a vacuum and she believes that it is fundamental to understand the intersections of identity that each client holds as well as their social environment to affect change.

Lizzie is originally from Indiana but has called Georgia home for nearly a decade. In her spare time, she enjoys playing Stardew Valley, making music and art, trying new recipes, and watching every nature documentary available.
